ECSL Returns 11,000 Borrowed Boxes to Guinea
The Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (ECSL) has successfully handed over 11,000 borrowed Ballot Boxes to the Guinean Government today, Wednesday 23rd August 2023,
The ECSL delegation was headed by the North-Western Region; Commissioner Albert Samba Kanu. The Assistant Director of Operations was also in attendance.
Prior to the June elections, the ECSL received 11,000 empty ballot boxes from the Government of Guinea on Saturday, May 27th at the Forecariah operational Base in Guinea, few miles from the border between Guinea and Sierra Leone.
The Chief Electoral Commissioner and Chair, Mohamed Kenewui Konneh earlier led a delegation of electoral commissioners and staff of the ECSL to The Republic of Guinea, for the use of Guinean Ballot boxes in the June 24 2023 elections in Sierra Leone.
