The Minister of Employment, Labour and Social Security, Mr. Mohamed Rahman Swaray has on the 6th November 2023 engaged stakeholders of the Stores Labour Union to resolve issues arising within the Union since their elections in June this year.
The meeting comes after reports of instability within the workers’ group, affecting productivity in their zones and in his engagement, he informed them of the ministry’s key mandate which is to intervene in workplace disputes to ensure industrial peace and harmony.
“There has to be some compromise on all sides. This is about the welfare of you all, not just one faction,” he told them in his office.
It was resolved that all the parties should work together as a team.
