The National Electoral Commission which is Constitutionally-mandated to supervise voter registration and all public elections and referenda in Sierra Leone, has unveiled the candidates of the upcoming Elections in Kono and Kenema.
The commission reveals in a tweet posted on their timeline that they are on the preparation to conduct two bye-elections in ward 069 of Kenema district and ward 091 of Kono District. The election at Ward 069 of Kenema district would be for the Kenema City Council position and that of ward 091 of Kono District will be for the Kono District council position.
The commission added that electoral campaigns for the above-mentioned positions are ongoing and that the polls for the elections are slated for the 13th November 2021.
