Provincial Secretary Summons Chiefdom Speaker Over Suspension of Section Chief
Aaron Parker The Provincial Secretary of the Southern Province has summoned Chiefdom Speaker Peter Yambasu of Kori Chiefdom, Moyamba District, along with several Section Chiefs to his office on Linkonko Road, Bo, today, 24th October 2024.
This summons comes in connection with the suspension of Section Chief Solomon John Koric, the designated chief of Mokabba Section, and two candidates involved in the pending Town Chief election for Njala Mokonde.
Chief Yambasu’s decision to suspend Chief Koric was made earlier this year, during a meeting on 21st February 2024, held at the court barray of Paramount Chief Thomas Borbor Gbappi IV in Taiama.
The suspension raised concerns and was questioned by the Provincial Secretary at the time, leading to speculation and anticipation in the local community about the outcome.
