Judiciary of Sierra Leone Debunks Social Media Claims
Salamatu Y. Kamara The Judiciary of Sierra Leone through its Communication department has debunked a social media claim in relation to suspects of Victor Onie Williams death.
Recently, there was a rumor on social media which claims that the Chief Justice, Justice Komba Kamanda has ordered for the release of all suspects in police custody related to the death of Victor Onie Williams.
According to the Judiciary of Sierra Leone, such information is fake and unfounded.
The Judiciary indicated that the matter is yet to be charge to court adding that the Chief Justice has no involvement with matters at the police station.
It was stated that the information is deliberately aimed at bringing the name of the Chief Justice and the Judiciary into disrepute but should be discountenanced.
