The Sierra Leone U-20 team will face Tanzania on Saturday afternoon in the AFCON U-20 Tournament in Egypt.
The Shooting Stars are topping Group A with 4 points after an impressive comeback, 4-1, against host Egypt on matchday two at the Suez Canal Stadium.

This is the young Sierra Leone team’s first AFCON U-20 appearance, but their resilience is giving the group favourites, South Africa and Egypt, a run for their money.

The team’s head coach, Mohamed Lamin Kamara said in his first pre-match conference that they aim to qualify for the FIFA U-20 World Cup next year. Qualification for the FIFA competition will be automatic for all semi-finalists in the AFCON U-20.
Sierra Leone will be making history even if they qualify for the FIFA competition.
Meanwhile, the qualification for that competition will take little steps like defeating Tanzania on Saturday afternoon which will earn them 7 points before they face South Africa on the final match day. The tournament host, Egypt will face Zambia on Saturday evening.
