Sierra Leonean award-winning rapper based in Australia and CEO of They Call Me Samza Entertainment, Samza collaborates with new school musicians; Bakitenno, Krio Mesaya and ApriilL for an aforsound titled ‘Somesie’.
‘Somesie’ is a Krio word which means ‘somewhere’. Somesie is a love song which serves as an inspiration to those in love with their respective partners to hold somewhere on hold on to something in a relationship that is fruitful. This implies that partners should hold on to something that will always make them feel valued and their presence or absence are always felt.
The rapper, Samza describes the qualities of his partner who showers him with romantic techniques whenever they are together. As the most celebrated number one Krio rapper, he uses local words to deliver applaudable lyrics that are easily related.
Bakitenno, Krio Mesaya and ApriilL are considered the hottest new school musicians at the moment. Except Apriill who uses his normal cool voice and lyrics to bless the song, Bakitenno and Krio Mesaya receive public appraisal for delivering as expected by the fans. They are considered a perfect match for the song and they did justice to it. ApriilL as the only singer on the song played his own part by using his melodious and cool voice which lifted the song to a high standard.
Somesie is produced by Nigerian Jamie Ice Pick and mixed and mastered by Sierra Leonean Bash Beatz.
