SLPP Politician Dies in Ghastly Accident While Traveling to Kenema for Women’s Election

The Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) is mourning the tragic death of Mr. Foday Kallon, a dedicated and long-serving member, who was killed in a road accident today in Senehun, Kamajei Chiefdom, Moyamba District.

Kallon was part of an SLPP staff team traveling to Kenema to support the party’s National Women’s Council event, scheduled for today, when the accident occurred.

In a statement released by the SLPP National Secretariat, the party expressed “profound sorrow” over his passing. “With heavy hearts,” the statement read, “the National Secretariat of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) expresses profound sorrow over the passing of Mr. Foday Kallon, a dedicated and long-serving member of our party.”

The SLPP extended its deepest condolences to Kallon’s family, friends, and colleagues, adding, “May his soul find eternal peace.”
