Mr. Alex Pat Labib Saffa has been appointed as the new Electoral Commissioner for the Eastern Region by His Excellency President Brig. (Rtd.) Julius Maada Bio.
The appointment was announced in a letter dated June 30, 2025, from the Office of the President, State House, addressed to the Chairman of the All Political Parties Association (APAA) and the Political Parties Regulation Commission.
The letter, signed by Barba B. Fortune, Secretary to the President, stated that President Bio had considered the appointment of Mr. Saffa. Copies of the letter were circulated to all registered political parties, the Chairman/Chief Electoral Commission, and the Clerk of Parliament.
