The President of Sierra Leone, Dr. Julius Maada Bio has appointed Mr. Paul Hingha Tucker as the Deputy Minister of Communication, Technology and Innovation, and Mr. David Fortune as the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs.

The appointments, announced by the President on Friday, July 11th, 2025, aim to strengthen the operational capacity of the respective ministries.

Paul Tucker, in his new role, will support the Minister of Communication, Technology and Innovation in overseeing the ministry’s operations.

His responsibilities include implementing policies related to communication, technology, and innovation, as well as ensuring the effective delivery of digital services across the nation.

David Fortune will assist the Minister of Internal Affairs in managing the ministry’s functions, which encompass public safety, security, and local government administration.

Both Deputy Ministers may represent their respective Ministries in various forums and engage with stakeholders on matters pertaining to roles and responsibilities.
