Sierra Leonean actress, activist, and entrepreneur Zainab Sheriff has expressed her willingness to collaborate with grassroots members of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) as part of her vision to support and promote female leadership in the country including her own political aspirations.
In a bold declaration, Sheriff stated that while she is open to working with SLPP members at the community level, she will not align herself with the dominant ‘Paopa’ faction unless a public apology is issued for what she described as past political bullying and marginalization.
“I’m ready to build with the people who matter most the grassroots. But I also stand for respect, especially from those in power,” she noted.
Sheriff’s remarks add new dimensions to Sierra Leone’s evolving political landscape, especially as calls grow louder for increased women’s participation and leadership at the highest levels.

She seems to be confused.
At first she condemned the first lady, she labeled her as selfish individual (SLPP). She later praised Akin Sawyer and said she is willing to support her (APC). And now is the SLPP grassroots. She needs to be consistent at this point.
I guess she is confused as this point.😆 😆
It is good that women are allowed to rise up to highest levels of political leadership
