TBank Sierra Leone has issued a public notice refuting social media claims of a twelve-year-old child being raped at its Brookfield’s Branch in Freetown.
The bank released a statement today, July 21, 2025, condemning the alleged incident and labeling the circulating news as false.
In its statement, GTBank Sierra Leone emphasized its strong opposition to any form of abuse or criminal activity, asserting that such acts are “completely against our values, ethics, and corporate principles.” The bank reiterated its commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all its patrons and staff.
The financial institution also clarified that as of the time of their public notice, no formal contact had been made by any authority regarding the alleged incident. However, GTBank affirmed its readiness to cooperate fully with the Sierra Leone Police or any other relevant authority should an official investigation be launched.
The bank urged the public to exercise caution regarding the information circulating online and to rely solely on updates provided through its official communication channels.
