The Head Coach of the Sierra Leone national men’s football team, Mohamed Kallon, reportedly walked out of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) election hall at the Gateway Hotel in Lungi.
It was confirmed that Coach Kallon refused to participate in the voting process, citing concerns over the credibility of the election.
According to a report by WeBlog, an eyewitness claimed to have overheard Kallon expressing his dissatisfaction with the electoral process.
He reportedly stated that he might resign from his position as head coach if Babadi Kamara were to be elected as the new SLFA President.
The election was marred by tension, particularly due to the absence of the SLFA President, Thomas Daddy Brima, and his Vice President.
This situation raised significant questions regarding the constitutionality of the association’s electoral proceedings.
