The Ministry of Communication, Technology and Innovation (MoCTI) warmly welcomed its newly appointed Deputy Minister, Paul Hingha Tucker, during an engagement that highlighted both his passion for service and deep admiration for the Ministry’s ongoing work.
Speaking at his first official appearance, Tucker reflected on how he had followed the leadership of Minister Salima Bah even before his appointment. He fondly recalled watching her interviews on Arise TV and Channels in Nigeria, smiling to himself and saying, “That’s my Sierra Leonean sister.”
He shared that their first encounter took place months ago in Kailahun, where he approached Minister Bah, shared his thoughts, and proposed ideas for collaboration. He described the meeting as a “divine connection” one that has now evolved into a leadership journey within the Ministry.
With a strong academic background in History and over nine years of professional experience in the transport sector, Tucker emphasized a people-first mindset and a genuine commitment to national transformation.
“The new Sierra Leone is in our hands,” he stated. “I am here to fulfill the President’s policy agenda and provide strong auxiliary support to the Minister.”
Closing his remarks with gratitude, Tucker applauded the Ministry’s visible progress. “The work of the Minister is seen,” he said. “Let’s give her a round of applause.”
