The Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) has announced the sudden passing of Ibrahim Foday Bavaya, the District Secretary General for Kailahun.
Bavaya passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025, in the Democratic Republic of Ghana, where he had traveled for urgent medical attention following a short illness in early June.
The party expressed deep sorrow over the loss of Bavaya, recognizing his contributions to the SLPP and the community.
Funeral arrangements are currently being finalized, with plans for his remains to be escorted back to Sierra Leone on August 8, 2025. Further details regarding the funeral will be announced in due course.
It is a big lost for the supporters but mende buima and kailahun township will feel more pain,,rip bro 🙏 😢
