Frederick Dapaye Peters commonly Known as Famous, achieved a remarkable feat at the Sierra Leone Music Awards (SLMA) 2025 held recently in the United States, clinching three of the event’s most prestigious honors: Best Music, Best Artist, and Best Album. This achievement underscores his status as one of Sierra Leone’s most influential musical talents.
Established to recognize and celebrate excellence in Sierra Leonean music both locally and internationally, the SLMA has become a premier annual event that highlights creativity, cultural pride, and the expanding global influence of Sierra Leonean artists across genres.
Having previously earned accolades at the SLMA, Famous expressed heartfelt gratitude for his latest recognition. “I thank God for His mercy and abundant blessings that have brought me this far,” he shared.
