In a strategic move to strengthen regional bonds, President of the Republic of Sierra Leone and Chairman of the ECOWAS Commission, His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio, met with Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, emphasizing a renewed commitment to collaboration across West Africa.

In a statement shared on his official Facebook page, President Bio described the discussion as constructive, emphasizing a shared commitment to reinforcing regional cooperation within ECOWAS. The talks focused on addressing common challenges across West Africa and promoting initiatives aimed at achieving economic prosperity for member states.
“Today in Senegal, I had a very constructive meeting with His Excellency Bassirou Diomaye Faye. My working visit to this subregion as Chairperson of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government has truly highlighted our shared commitment to reinforcing our regional community. Together, we are focused on addressing challenges and fostering enhanced cooperation that will lead to greater economic prosperity for all,” he stated.
Both leaders expressed their intention to work closely together to strengthen unity and build a more integrated regional partnership.
