State House Director of Communication, Myk Berewa, has used social media to clarify reports alleging that police halted a proposed Keke Assembly plant by popular businessman and politician, Sheik Alhaji Mohamed Omodu Kamara, commonly known as Jagaban.

Berewa stated that he spoke on the phone with Jagaban, and he confirmed to him that there were no blocks on his proposed motorbike plant, but was only advised to adhere to the proper procedures.

“I chatted with APC’s Jagaban on the phone this morning, and he confirmed that there are no blocks on his plan to open a bike assembly factory. He was just advised to adhere to the proper procedures. Our laws are supreme!”

On Saturday, August 23 2025, information circulated on social media alleging the Sierra Leone Police halted Jagaban’s motorbike assembly plant ceremony which sparked wide spread criticism from citizens.

This information from the Director of Communication at State House has also raised citizens concerns as they called on Jagaban to make a statement regarding the issue.
