A report from Kenema, Eastern Region of Sierra Leone, has confirmed the brutal killing of Father Augustine Dauda Amadu, Parish Priest of Immaculate Conception Parish in Burma, Kenema. The priest was attacked and killed at his residence during the night by suspected armed robbers.

Eyewitnesses and preliminary reports indicate that a violent confrontation occurred between Father Amadu and the assailants, which ultimately led to his death. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the motive behind the attack.

Father Amadu’s body has been taken to the Kenema Government Hospital mortuary.

He was widely respected in the community for his peaceful nature, dedication to spiritual and social development, and his strong stance against crime and moral decay.
