The community of Kailahun is in mourning following the sudden passing of Salia Fatorma, widely known as Sahr Debay, the principal of National Secondary School. Principal Fatorma passed away overnight on Tuesday 16th September, 2025, leaving residents in shock and grief as the cause of his death remains unknown.
On Tuesday, Principal Fatorma was actively engaged with the community, spending time with residents and even watching a football match at a local cinema. Many who interacted with him that day are struggling to comprehend the suddenness of his departure.
“This is a great loss for our family, the school, and the entire community,” said a close associate. “He was a dedicated leader and a beloved figure who touched the lives of many.”
The news of his passing has sent ripples of sorrow throughout Kailahun, with residents expressing their condolences and sharing memories of Principal Fatorma’s contributions to the community and education.
