Sierra Leone’s First Lady Fatima Bio actively participated in the Sierra Leone-Canada Trade, Investment and Cultural Show dinner at the Viceroy Banquet Hall in Toronto, Canada.
The dinner brought together Sierra Leoneans from various sector, highlighting diversity and unity among Sierra Leoneans in the diaspora.
Bio described the event as “a joyful evening of connection, reflection, and celebration.”
In a Facebook post, the First Lady appreciated the efforts of Dr. Massaquoi and his team for their endless support in seeing the 2025 event became a reality.
“I used the occasion to pay tribute to Dr. Massaquoi and team for their outstanding leadership in bringing this program to life and for warmly hosting our entire delegation,” she said.
The First Lady also extended her appreciation to members of her party, the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) as well as members of the main opposition party, All People’s Congress (APC) present at the event.
Bio stated that the dinner was filled with the “warmth of the Sierra Leonean spirit”.
The Sierra Leone-Canada Trade and Cultural Show 2025 is a transformative event, aiming to strengthen the bond between Sierra Leone and Canada through a blend of trade, investment, and cultural exchange.
This collaborative initiative brought Sierra Leone’s rich cultural heritage to the core while promoting its potential for economic growth in key sectors, and foster greater cooperation in tourism, education, and infrastructure development. By providing a platform for business leaders and cultural ambassadors from both nations, the event served as a channel for lasting partnerships that will contribute to Sierra Leone’s long-term progress and global prominence.
