The Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (ECSL) has announced that it has provided logistical support to the Electoral Commission of Guinea for the conduct of Guinea’s referendum polls, specifically assisting with diaspora voters residing in Sierra Leone.

The referendum polls are taking place today, Sunday, 21st September 2025, across several districts in Sierra Leone, with designated voting centers set up in:

Western Urban – Mafa Field, Regent Road, Lumley; Fula Mosque, Kay Steep, Calaba Town

Western Rural – Pastor Bah’s Compound 55, Waterloo

Bo – ECSL Office, Government Reservation, Bo

Kambia – Arabic School off Bangura Mosque, Kambia II

Kabala – PC Marrah’s Compound, Kabala Town

Kenema – ECSL Office, Government Reservation, Kenema

Kono – UMC Boys Primary School, Pimbi Lana, Koidu City

Bombali – 1 Sow Drive, Timbo Section, Makeni

According to ECSL, the support being provided is in line with the ECOWAS Network of Electoral Commissions (ECONEC) agreement, which strengthens collaboration between sister electoral management bodies (EMBs) across the West African subregion.

ECSL clarified that its assistance is strictly limited to the provision of ballot boxes, voting screens, and support in identifying voting centers for the event.
