The Conference of Principals in Kenema District has strongly condemned Councilor Jusu Michael Kapu for reportedly using abusive language against the Junior Section Principal of Methodist Secondary School, Mr. B. Lahai, in full view of students on Friday, 19th September 2025.
The principals described the councilor’s behavior as “unprincipled and unceremonious,” saying it disrupted both classroom learning and school administration.
In a statement over the weekend, the Conference said such conduct from a public official is unacceptable and sets a poor example for pupils.
“Councilor Kapu’s actions were unprincipled and inappropriate for someone expected to be a role model. Such behavior can negatively influence pupils and undermine the values schools are striving to instill,” the statement read.
The body called on the school administration to take “robust action” against the councilor and pledged to monitor the situation closely to prevent similar incidents in the future.
