Former East End Lions defender Saidu Musa Bangura made his debut for Austrian 2. Liga side SW Bregenz on Friday night.
Bangura, who gained international recognition following his impressive performance at the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt earlier this year, joined the Austrian club in early September for an undisclosed fee.
Reacting to his brother’s debut, Dauda Bangura expressed his happiness, saying he felt “joyful” watching Saidu take the field for Bregenz.
Currently struggling in 15th place, Bregenz find themselves in the relegation zone, having won just once in their last five matches.

With the team having already conceded 19 goals this season, supporters are hopeful that the 6ft 2in defender can bring much-needed stability to the back line and help secure some clean sheets.
