Opposition Whip and Member of Parliament, Hon. Abdul Karim Kamara (AKK), has condemned the alleged sale of lecturers’ quarters at Fourah Bay College (FBC), University of Sierra Leone.

In a social media post, AKK described the move as a senseless decision and called on President Julius Maada Bio to intervene. “Selling FBC lecturers’ quarters is a senseless decision. Mr President, please advise your boys,” he wrote.

The FBC lecturers’ quarters, located on the Mount Aureole Campus, are primarily occupied by senior academic and administrative staff. The rent for these quarters is paid by the government under a 2019 agreement, which also covers other allowances as part of integrating tertiary institution staff into the national payroll.
