Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) President, Babadi Kamara joined CAF President, Patrice Motsepa and other West African football leaders in a WAFU A zonal meeting held in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, on the sidelines of the 47th CAF General Assembly on Saturday, October 4th.
The high-level engagement brought together presidents and representatives of WAFU member associations to discuss key developmental priorities for football within the region, including youth competitions, infrastructure growth, and strategic collaboration among member federations.
The SLFA President, Babadi Kamara, expressed appreciation to Motsepe for his continuous support for regional football bodies and stressed on Sierra Leone’s readiness to contribute meaningfully to WAFU A’s collective growth and CAF’s broader objectives

President Kamara, along with SLFA Vice President 1, Ali Badara Tarawallie, and Acting General Secretary Mohamed Benson Bawoh, reaffirmed Sierra Leone’s dedication to CAF’s vision of transforming African football through unity, transparency, and sustainable growth.
The 47th Confederation of African Football (CAF) Ordinary General Assembly is scheduled for Monday, October 6, 2025, in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo.
The Ordinary General Assembly is CAF’s highest decision making body where football federations present activity reports, including competitions and development programmes. The Assembly also serve as a key platform to review CAF statutes and adoption of policies among others.
