Sierra Leone’s Deputy Minister, Melrose Kargbo Involved in Road Accident
Bernice Bangura Sierra Leone’s Deputy Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Melrose Kargbo narrowly escaped death on Saturday after her car was involved in an accident.
Sierraloaded gathered that the accident happened around Mano Junction and Kenema highway while traveling to Freetown.
It is not clear if she sustained any injury. However, video obtained by Sierraloaded shows passerby’s making efforts to bring her out of the car which had tumbled inside the bush.
Kargbo was part of the governance transition team after President Bio won the election in 2018.
His excellency fully aware of her capacity to help him deliver for this country made her to serve in his government, first as deputy minister of Works and Public Assets and currently as deputy Minister of Local Government and Rural Development.
