The Sierra Leone Association of Journalists (SLAJ) is mourning the passing of its colleague, Alieu Badara Kamara, the Managing Editor of the Indigenes Newspaper.
Kamara passed away today, October 24, 2025, at Connaught Hospital in Freetown.
SLAJ described Mr. Kamara as a “committed journalist whose contributions to the media landscape of Sierra Leone will be remembered with admiration and gratitude”.
The Association extended its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, friends, and all who knew him.
Members who wish to sympathize with the family can visit his former residence at 26 New Castle Street, Kissy Mess Mess, towards Taxaco Old Road. He is scheduled to be buried at 4 PM today at Brima Lane Cemetery.
