Former Sierra Leone international and ex-AC Milan midfielder Rodney Strasser proudly represented Sierra Leone at the prestigious Best of Africa (BOF) Awards, an event dedicated to celebrating African and Caribbean excellence across various fields.
Strasser described his participation as a profound honour, highlighting the unity and shared spirit that defined the gathering. “It is such an honour to be part of this great occasion to see Africans and Caribbeans come together on one field, under one spirit,” he said.
“All around the world, our people are doing incredible things-leading, creating, inspiring, and breaking barriers. To be part of the Best of Africa Awards is a true privilege.”
He extended heartfelt appreciation to the organizers for what he called a “beautiful celebration,” noting that standing among so many accomplished Africans filled him with pride and hope. “This reminds us of something very important: Africa is now-not tomorrow, not someday-now. Let’s continue to rise together and support one another. One Africa. One Love.”
Strasser’s presence at the awards reflects his ongoing commitment to youth empowerment and football development through the Rodney Strasser Foundation.
His work continues to inspire young Africans, promoting unity, progress, and the belief that the continent’s time is now.
