A significant development has unfolded in the Northeast region of Sierra Leone, where a team of police officers from the regional headquarters in Makeni conducted a raid on the dwelling house of the NCO of Mile 91 Police Station and discovered over 200 wraps of kush.
Following an intelligence indicating that a drug syndicate was ongoing at Mile 91 Police Station, allegedly involving the NCO Crime officer by the name of Swaray, the regional commander of the Northeast region dispatched a team of officers from Makeni to search his house.
During the search, a Police source said they discovered the kush substance in Swaray’s Dwelling House. He was immediately moved from Mile 91 to Makeni together with the kush. As of the time of writing this article, this reporter can confirm Swaray was at the regional police headquarters at Mena in Makeni on the night of Monday.
Report says the regional commander ordered that he must be in open detention until the morning of Tuesday, 4th November 2025, when the investigation will start.
Also, the police source, who is not officially obliged to speak for the Sierra Leone Police said the NCO Crime presented a case file in respect of the said drug.
According to the intelligence given to the police, Swaray has been allegedly working a syndicate with an alleged Tramadol dealer who is also allegedly the biggest Tramadol distributor in the Mile 91 township called Same Face by nickname.
Meanwhile, the public is keenly following this matter and would want to see how such a high-profile case will end. The question now is whether the police will be transparent in investigating this matter.
