The First Lady of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Madam Fatima Maada Bio, has reaffirmed her commitment to empowering young people and advancing gender equality through the Hands Off Our Girls Campaign.

Writing on her official Facebook page, Madam Bio disclosed that she received executive members of the Kids Advocacy Network and participants from the recently concluded Girls Empowerment Forum at her office on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the First Lady, the meeting centered on discussions about the upcoming 8th Anniversary of the Hands Off Our Girls Campaign and explored avenues for partnership and collaboration to further the cause of protecting and uplifting girls across Sierra Leone.

The Hands Off Our Girls initiative, launched in 2018, continues to champion the rights of girls and women, with a focus on ending sexual and gender-based violence, promoting education, and creating opportunities for young women to thrive.
