As part of the ongoing joint security operations in Kambia District aimed at combating the sale and use of harmful drugs—particularly Kush, a deadly substance that has claimed the lives of many young people—the security forces have intensified surveillance, patrols, and raids in identified hotspots and illegal drug-selling points.
During one of these operations, the joint security team arrested Mohamed Siaka, a 32-year-old resident of No. 2 Ansuman Street, Kambia, with a substantial quantity of substance suspected to be Kush.
These coordinated actions form part of continuous efforts to maintain peace and bring suspected drug dealers and traffickers to justice.
Investigations are currently in progress.
