A 42-year-old Sierra Leonean man, Musa Kargbo, who resides in Maryland, is now facing serious murder charges after authorities reported that he drove to Virginia and fatally stabbed 26-year-old Isha Koroma on Friday night.
According to the Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD), Kargbo has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the tragic stabbing that claimed the life of Koroma, who was a resident of Alexandria, Virginia.
The fatal incident happened on Nov. 7, just before 10 p.m. in the 3900 block of Terrace Drive in Annandale.

FCPD officials said after getting reports of an unconscious person with trauma to the upper body in that area, they found Koroma’s body in the middle of a road. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Based on a preliminary investigation, Kargbo traveled to Annandale and fatally stabbed Koroma, according to the police department. Authorities also believed the incident was not a random act of violence because Koroma and Kargbo supposedly knew each other.

Kargbo was apprehended by Prince George’s County police officers in Lanham, Maryland, on Saturday morning. He will be extradited to Fairfax County and booked on his charges.
The deadly stabbing is still under investigation as detectives try to figure out what led to the incident.
