Rutile Police Division has reported a major breakthrough in its fight against the circulation of harmful drugs in the Moyamba District.

In a joint operation between the Youth Network for Better Change in Gbangbatoke Town and the Gbangbatoke Police, one Abdul Lebbeh was arrested for alleged possession of a large quantity of suspected Kush.

According to police sources, the suspect was apprehended with four hundred and thirty-two (432) wraps of the substance during the coordinated operation. Both the suspect and the exhibits are currently in custody at the Moriba Police Station as investigations continue.

The collaborative effort between the police and local youth groups has been described as a positive step in addressing the growing menace of drug abuse within the community. Authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring that those involved in the trafficking and distribution of harmful substances face the full force of the law.
