Trevor Jex King, close friend of the late fashion designer Victor Onie Williams has revealed new claims about the events leading up to Onie’s death.

In an exclusive interview with Truth Media, King said a friend of the deceased identified as Fenti visited the burial home shortly after Onie’s passing and openly stated that those present were “wasting their time” because “Richie Obama knows what happened to Onie.” King said Fenti went on to claim, “I’m telling you that it’s at Richie’s house Onie died.”

At the time, conflicting information was circulating: some people said Onie collapsed at his college, others claimed he died at a hospital, while several suggested he collapsed outside Richie’s home.

King explained that he later went to the group’s WhatsApp platform and confronted Richie directly.
“I said to him, ‘Richie, Fenti said that it’s at your house Onie died, and all of us went to the hospital and took the body to the mortuary and then back to the burial home, but you never mentioned that Onie was at your place.’ I pressured him and said, ‘If there is anything we should know, please say it.’”

However, King said Richie did not respond until midnight.

“When I woke up in the morning, I saw he had tagged me in a long message saying, ‘Trevor, you want to give me problem,’ by then people had already replied.”

King said he responded firmly:

“I told him, ‘You are the one creating problems for yourself. I am the one who defended you at the burial home when this issue was raised. When you lose someone, family members often accuse close friends. Nobody pointed fingers at you or said you killed Onie,  all we wanted to know was whether Onie was truly at your house.’”

The following day, King said he returned to the WhatsApp group and posted a screenshot someone had sent him, showing what Richie had shared on social media.

“The person told me the post was so complicated that it would put Richie in trouble,” King said.

Trevor forwarded the post to the group, saying, “Look at what Richie has posted.”

He explained that group members questioned Richie’s account, in which Richie claimed Onie called him while he was at the office and said he would wait for him at home.

“People asked how a big man like Onie could leave the West and go all the way to the East with nothing to do, just to sit and wait for Richie,” King added.

King further stated that a neighbour captured photos of the moment Onie’s body was removed from Richie’s house, adding more weight to the growing speculation among friends and community members.
