A tragic road accident occurred earlier on Tuesday, 16th December, in Kenema, when an unidentified tipper truck struck and killed a market woman near the gate of the Road Safety Authority office.
The incident took place around mid-morning, when the tipper vehicle, whose registration number remains unknown, veered off its path and crushed the victim while she was selling goods in the busy area.
Local authorities have yet to identify the woman, who was a regular vendor in the area, but sources close to the market confirmed that she had been selling goods at the time of the incident.
Eyewitnesses described the tipper truck as a large vehicle filled with sand but could not provide further details on the truck’s driver or the license plate.
As of now, no official statements have been released by the Road Safety Authority, but the incident is being closely monitored by local authorities.
