The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has announced that its Head of Safety and Security, Mr. Mohamed Bowen Freeman, has departed for Nairobi, Kenya, following his appointment by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) as a Security Officer for an upcoming continental fixture.
Mr. Freeman will be responsible for overseeing all security arrangements for the CAF Confederation Cup match between Nairobi United FC of Kenya and Azam Football Club of Tanzania, scheduled to take place on 25th January 2026 in Nairobi.
The appointment underscores CAF’s confidence in Mr. Freeman’s professionalism, technical competence, and extensive experience in football safety and security management. It also represents a significant milestone for Sierra Leone football, as one of its officials continues to gain recognition and trust at the continental level.
