Dr. Baimba Ramadan Idriss, a prominent eye specialist at TaSha’s Eye Solutions, has died. His death has sparked an outpouring of shock and tributes across social media.

Dr. Idriss was widely recognized for his selflessness and passionate dedication to the medical profession, having left a lasting impact on numerous patients throughout his career.

Among the early tributes was a statement from Presidential Spokesman Yusuf Keketoma Sandi, who recalled their shared history at the Albert Academy more than two decades ago.

“When I was elected President of L&DS Albert Academy, you—then a dedicated science student—demonstrated such charisma and poise that you earned the confidence of our peers as Vice President,” Sandi wrote.

Sandi praised Dr. Idriss’s journey from a student leader to a respected medical professional.

“From that moment onward, you faced every challenge with steadfast resolve, rising to claim a prominent standing among young professionals,” Sandi added. “You devoted your life to service, leaving a lasting impact on countless patients, young and old alike.”

Blogger Hawanatu Konneh also expressed her grief online, writing, “My Eye Doctor is gone.”
