President Julius Maada Bio has arrived in Addis Ababa to participate in the 39th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page, President Bio confirmed his arrival in the Ethiopian capital and stated that he would be taking part in the deliberations of the Assembly, as well as other events scheduled on the margins of the summit.
The Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union brings together Heads of State and Government from across the continent to discuss key political, economic, and security issues affecting member states. The annual summit also provides a platform for leaders to review progress on continental initiatives and strengthen regional cooperation.
President Bio indicated that he looks forward to meaningful participation in the discussions, which are expected to focus on advancing Africa’s development agenda and addressing shared challenges.
The summit is being held at the African Union headquarters in Addis Ababa, the diplomatic hub of the continental body.
