Toyota Hilux Loses Brakes, Crashes Into Passenger Bus in Freetown
Osman Tolo Sesay A serious road accident occurred early Thursday morning along AWWO Drive near Grass Field in Freetown.
Eyewitnesses say a Toyota Land Cruiser Hilux reportedly lost its brakes while descending towards the Grass Field junction, veered off its lane, and crossed over into oncoming traffic.
The vehicle subsequently collided with a commercial Sprinter bus that was heading towards Grass Field.
Several passengers were said to be on board the commercial vehicle at the time of the crash. The extent of injuries and damage is yet to be officially confirmed.
Traffic in the area was temporarily disrupted as bystanders and emergency responders worked to manage the situation. Authorities are expected to investigate the cause of the incident.
