The National Sports Authority (NSA) has concluded a two-day strategic management retreat, outlining a 2026 roadmap focused on youth employment, targeted sports funding, and nationwide infrastructure development.
Led by Executive Director Dr. Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai Esq, the retreat prioritized ten key sports for dedicated funding to organize high-quality domestic competitions, which the NSA says will help create jobs and foster leadership among the country’s youth.
Dr. Abdulai highlighted the role of well-structured sports programs in promoting employment, healthier communities, and safer streets. On infrastructure, he confirmed the installation of artificial turf in Kailahun, with plans to expand to Tihun and other northern districts, aiming to provide safe, accessible facilities nationwide.
The retreat concluded with the NSA reaffirming its commitment to implementing the outlined priorities and strengthening sports development as a driver of national growth.
