A devastating road accident at Banana Street Junction early this morning has claimed the lives of three people, leaving another person critically injured.
Eyewitnesses reported that a black jeep lost control, reportedly due to excessive speeding, resulting in a fatal crash that left residents in the area shocked. Emergency responders rushed to the scene, but the impact had already caused significant casualties.

The incident has once again drawn attention to the high rate of road accidents in Sierra Leone, particularly along the busy Makeni–Magburaka Highway, which has been the site of several fatal accidents in recent years.
The Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority continues to warn that speeding, reckless driving, and poor road conditions are among the leading causes of traffic fatalities.
