A display of solidarity between two of Sierra Leone’s leading girls’ boarding institutions saw Olive B. Academy visit Nyapui Secondary School of Excellence on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, to provide relief following a devastating fire.

The blaze, which struck the Nyapui campus several months ago, destroyed key infrastructure and personal belongings, temporarily disrupting academic activities at the all-girls institution.

The Olive B. Academy delegation, led by CEO Fofi Baimba, arrived on campus with relief items and a message of resilience.

Recognizing the shared mission of empowering young women through education, the academy donated essential supplies to support students in resuming normal academic life. The items included new mattresses for displaced boarders, stationery and school materials to replace those lost in the fire, and other basic supplies to support daily school operations.

During the visit, the Head Girl of Olive B. Academy delivered a message of encouragement to the Nyapui students, urging them to remain focused despite the setback.

“Do not let this setback define your journey,” she said. “Stay focused, stay strong, and remember that your education is a flame that cannot be extinguished.”

The Principal of Nyapui Secondary School formally received the donation, describing it as timely and thoughtful. The administration noted that such support is crucial as the school continues its recovery and works to restore normal academic activities.

The visit ended with group photographs, symbolizing unity between the two institutions and a shared commitment to girls’ education in Sierra Leone.
