Zainab Sheriff has once again been remanded in custody after her sixth court appearance before Magistrate Mustapha Brima on Wednesday, 25th March 2026.

According to court proceedings, Sheriff was denied bail for the sixth consecutive time and ordered to return to prison as her trial continues. The matter has been adjourned to March 31st, 2026.

Following the ruling, Sheriff was taken back to the female correctional facility in Freetown, where she remains in custody pending further hearings.

Sheriff is currently standing trial on charges of incitement and threatening language, contrary to Section 30(1) of the Public Order Act of 1965. The court has consistently refused her bail on all occasions since her first appearance.
