Leone Stars Complete First Training Session Ahead of Azerbaijan Friendly
The Leone Stars kicked off their first training session as they ramp up preparations for the FIFA Series friendly against Azerbaijan on Monday, 30 March 2026.
All invited players, from homegrown talents to overseas professionals, took part in a lively, high-energy workout that set a strong tone for the camp.
Coaches used the session to check fitness levels, reinforce tactical shape, and sharpen set-piece routines. Intensity was balanced to keep players conditioned while allowing for recovery, with medical and performance staff keeping an eye on workload.
The atmosphere in camp was upbeat and professional, with players fully committed to the plan.
Having every player present meant the technical team could start blending domestic and international squad members while trying out different on-field combinations. This early mix gave coaches a chance to assess chemistry and communication ahead of match day.
The plan is to build on this foundation in upcoming sessions with more advanced tactical drills and match simulations to fine-tune the team’s approach. Training will continue with a focus on tactical details and match readiness before wrapping up camp.
