East End Lions FC secured a place in the Sierra Leone FA Cup final after a tense 1-0 victory over FC Kallon at Approved School Field on 17 May. The semi-final produced an electric atmosphere as both sides battled for a spot in the showpiece match.

The decisive moment came late in the first half when Mohamed Fofanah delivered a superb assist to striker Emmanuel Innocent, who finished clinically to give East End Lions the lead. That single strike proved enough, as the Lions held firm under sustained pressure from FC Kallon in the second half.

Both teams enjoyed strong spells, but East End Lions combined defensive discipline with clinical finishing to edge the contest. FC Kallon pressed for an equaliser but were unable to break down a resolute Lions defence.

The victory keeps East End Lions’ cup ambitions alive as they prepare to face Mighty Blackpool FC in the final. Reports indicate that the final will be staged at the Southern Arena in Bo, setting up a high-stakes clash between two of Sierra Leone’s most storied clubs.

East End Lions will now focus on preparations for the final, aiming to convert their semi-final momentum into silverware. FC Kallon, meanwhile, will regroup and look to build on a competitive cup run as they turn their attention back to league commitments.
