The Government of Sierra Leone has engaged members of the press and key stakeholders ahead of the upcoming Sierra Leone Mining Week, with discussions centered on how the country’s mining industry can deliver greater value addition through investment, collaboration, and sustainable sector growth.

The Special Press Conference brought together representatives from both government and the private sector, including the Hon. Minister of Mines and Mineral Resources, Julius Daniel Mattai, who joined stakeholders in outlining the importance of the event to the future of the country’s mining sector.

During the engagement, participants discussed strategies aimed at strengthening Sierra Leone’s mining industry and ensuring that the sector contributes more meaningfully to national development.
