The Sierra Leone Ports and Harbours Authority has distributed uniforms and boots to personnel of its Department of Security and Intelligence, reaffirming Management’s commitment to strengthening security operations across the nation’s ports.

A total of 121 pairs of uniforms and boots were presented to personnel as part of efforts aimed at boosting morale, promoting professionalism, and reinforcing a sense of unity and pride within the Department, whose members continue to play a vital role in safeguarding port facilities and operations.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Department, Director of Security and Intelligence, Sheik Umarr Sesay, commended the Director General, Deputy Director General, and the Management of the Authority for what he described as timely and impactful support.

He noted that the gesture reflects the leadership’s continued commitment to recognizing the contributions of security personnel whose responsibilities remain critical to maintaining safety, order, and operational efficiency at the ports.

Director Sesay further emphasized that the provision of the uniforms and boots would not only enhance the appearance and confidence of personnel but also improve coordination, discipline, and effectiveness in the discharge of their duties across port facilities.

He assured Management that the investment made in the Department would yield positive results, stressing that officers remain committed to serving the Authority with discipline, vigilance, and excellence.

He also expressed appreciation to the Authority for ensuring that every member of the Department benefited from the distribution, describing the intervention as a significant morale booster for the security workforce.
