League leaders Bo Rangers strengthened their grip on the Leone Rock Premier League title race with a 2–0 victory over Port Authority on Sunday, extending their lead at the top of the table to 10 points.

Bo Rangers took an early lead in the 13th minute when Port Authority defender David Godswill turned the ball into his own net, handing the hosts a crucial advantage. The league leaders, popularly known as “The Elephants,” controlled the tempo of the game from that point, creating several chances while limiting the visitors’ attacking opportunities.

The home side doubled their lead shortly after the restart when captain Saidu Bah Kamara produced a superb long-range strike in the 49th minute. Kamara delivered a commanding midfield performance and was later named Man of the Match.

Port Authority’s chances of a comeback were dealt a major blow when Mohamed Bangura was shown a red card for denying a clear goal-scoring opportunity, reducing the visitors to 10 men. Bo Rangers managed the remainder of the match comfortably to secure all three points.

Bo Rangers also extended their advantage at the top after second-placed Star Sport Academy dropped points away to Bai Bureh Warriors in Port Loko, further strengthening their position in the title race.

A notable talking point was the absence of former Bo Rangers striker Musa N. Kamara (Tombo), who was named in Port Authority’s 21-man squad but did not feature in the match, leaving travelling supporters disappointed.

Bo Rangers now head into the final stages of the season in strong form, while Port Authority will look to regroup as the campaign intensifies.
