The Sierra Leone Roads Authority (SLRA) has announced plans to commence the installation of cross drains at the Kossor Town/Mokor Town Junction along the Regent-Jui Road, resulting in a temporary partial closure of the affected section.

The intervention will specifically impact the stretch of road between Kossor Town and Mokor Town Junction. The works are scheduled to begin on Saturday, 30 May 2026, and will continue through to 6 June 2026.

The Authority clarified that the closure will be partial, with only one lane restricted at a time. Motorists will still be able to access the road via the remaining open lane, allowing for continued, though controlled, traffic flow throughout the construction period.

SLRA further indicated that normal traffic conditions are expected to resume on Sunday, 7 June 2026, upon completion of the works.

In the interim, motorists are advised to adhere to directions provided by traffic management personnel who will be stationed at the site, and to consider alternative routes where necessary to ease congestion.

The Authority expressed regret for any inconvenience caused and urged all road users to comply with safety guidelines to ensure a smooth and secure construction process.
